‘Wear It Purple’ tonight at movies | Barrier Daily Truth (Broken Hill)

Fri Aug 31, 2018

Constable Ben Kelly, Headspace Broken Hill’s Manager Rynette Gentle (left) and Community Development Officer, Tahlia Kerin, are backing today’s “Wear It Purple Day”. It started in 2010 after several LGBTQ people took their own lives following bullying and harassment, and provides young people with support, acceptance and hope. In celebration of the national day, the movie “Crazy Rich Asians” will be shown at the Silver City Cinema at 5:30 tonight. The event is being supported by the cinema’s John Wren, the Barrier Police District and Flourish Australia’s Broken Hill program, Headspace. To get your free tickets, call Headspace on (02) 9393 9699.
