Mental illness funding boost for southern NSW | Highlands Post (Bowral)

PEOPLE with severe and persistent mental illness will benefit from $472.7 million provided to organisations in 48 Medicare local regions for coordinated and flexibly funded support in the southern NSW.

The Labor Government provided southern NSW Medicare Local with $5.6m to coordinate a variety of services from local consortium members to better support Australians facing severe and persistent mental illness.

Organisations included in the consortium are:

  • The Schizophrenia Fellowship of New South Wales
  • RichmondPRA
  • Mission Australia
  • WorkAbility
  • Wesley Mission
  • Max Network Pty Ltd (MAX)
