Going all in for Reconciliation Week 2026

From 27 May to 3 June, National Reconciliation Week invites all Australians to reflect on our shared histories and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive future. This year’s theme, All In, is a call for action—reminding us that reconciliation is not passive, but something we each contribute to every day.

At Flourish Australia, we recognise that strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are essential to the wellbeing of our communities. We are committed to creating culturally safe and inclusive environments, and to continuing to learn from First Nations voices, knowledge and leadership.

Taking part locally

Reconciliation Week is an opportunity to engage with your local community in ways that are meaningful and respectful. You might choose to:

  • Attend local events such as community gatherings, talks, or cultural performances
  • Join online webinars or discussions led by First Nations speakers
  • Visit local galleries, cultural centres or exhibitions
  • Support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and organisations
  • Spend time learning about the history and significance of the Country you’re on

You can find events happening near you via the Reconciliation Australia calendar:

Everyday actions that matter

Reconciliation is built through consistent, everyday actions. Small steps can create lasting impact over time:

  • Listen to and amplify First Nations voices
  • Use respectful language and challenge misconceptions
  • Acknowledge Country with understanding and intent
  • Learn about local histories, including truth-telling
  • Build genuine relationships within your community
  • Support initiatives that advance equity and self-determination

Our commitment at Flourish Australia

Our commitment to reconciliation is guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which outlines how we work to strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We encourage you to learn more about our approach and the actions we are taking by exploring our RAP and related reports:

Moving from awareness to action

The All In theme reminds us that reconciliation is a shared responsibility. It depends on each of us being willing to listen, learn and take action—both during this week and beyond.

National Reconciliation Week is a starting point, but real change comes from what we do every day. By going All In, we can help build a future grounded in respect, understanding and inclusion.
