Exercise is not just good for your physical wellbeing; it helps keep your mental health in check too.

Regular physical activity can safeguard against disease and health concerns, and promotes better sleep and social connection as well as boosting your mood and energy levels.


Flourish Australia’s Back On Track Health (BOTH) Program is designed to help people with lived experience of mental health issues build their confidence and skills to manage their health and wellbeing.

It provides resources and tools including Flourish Australia’s PhysiCards online information hub to help you identify any health questions and concerns, and find the right resources, services and support people to stay on track. 

Three-quarters (76 per cent) of people who used PhysiCards said it helped them identify a health concern that they wanted to talk to someone about, an 11 per cent increase on the previous financial year. 

Preventative Health Check-in

Flourish Australia’s Preventative Health Check-in (PHC-I) program supports people to participate in regular and routine health checks, screenings and healthy behaviors that reduce the risk of developing chronic conditions.

It promotes preventative health measures including appointments with allied health providers, having a regular doctor to check in with, annual health checks, medication reviews, quitting smoking, and regular dental visits and physical activity.

More than 2800 people had a preventive health check in conversation with their Flourish Australia support worker in 2022/23, a 14 per cent increase from the previous year.
