Mental Health Month 2026: Together We Thrive

October is Mental Health Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations and celebrate the power of connection in supporting mental wellbeing.

This year's theme, Together We Thrive, recognises that strong communities, supportive relationships and meaningful connections help people live healthy, fulfilling lives. Whether through friendships, family, shared experiences or community participation, connection plays an important role in helping us navigate challenges and celebrate successes.

At Flourish Australia, we know that people thrive when they feel valued, included and connected. Throughout October, services, programs and communities across the organisation will come together to celebrate Mental Health Month through a range of events that promote wellbeing, creativity, inclusion and community connection.

The Power of Connection

The Together We Thrive theme reminds us that no one thrives alone. Feeling connected to others can strengthen resilience, reduce loneliness and create a greater sense of purpose and belonging.

Across each of these Mental Health Month events, people will come together through art, conversation, shared meals, community gatherings and wellbeing activities. While each event is unique, they all share a common goal: creating opportunities for connection and fostering communities where everyone feels welcome, valued and supported.

Together We Thrive

Mental Health Month is a reminder that small acts of connection can make a big difference. Whether it's attending a local event, reaching out to a friend, participating in community activities or simply starting a conversation, every connection helps build stronger and more inclusive communities.

This October, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating Mental Health Month and the people, relationships and communities that support positive mental health and wellbeing.

Together, we thrive.
